Procedure:
1. Read the book together. Talk about the landforms that students know about already. Discuss new landforms.
2. Take time to prepare the Landform Bingo Board. Use the vocabulary cards and have students write the name of the landform in each square. If necessary, they can sketch the landform quickly. They should write these words randomly so that everyone has a different gameboard. You can add the word “free” in one place and let students write one of the vocabulary words twice on the board to make a total of 20 words on the board.
3. Play the game using the directions below. Choose a vocabulary activity to reinforce meaning.
Game Directions:
1. Take the definition cards and read each one at a time.
2. Students place a marker on the board as the definition is called. They can use the book to help.
3. When a student has four markers in a row, he calls “bingo” and has won the game.
